The story began in 1957 when Luisa Mungai and her husband Renato Grazzini decided to relocate from Milan to the Riviera, due to health reasons. Helped by their eldest son, Giulio they opened Hotel Firenze. They choose the name Firenze as they were both born there and had many happy memories of their holidays in the region of Tuscany. In the 1940`s Luisa had been the Manager of “La Taverne Florentine”, a restaurant in Milan that was part of a series of well reputed restaurants owned by her family in Milan. This was the foundation of Hotel Firenze and has continued for over fifty years as the hotel has been handed down from father to son, generation after generation. The hotel’s ethos remains the same as it was the first day the hotel opened : to ensure that each guest feels at home in their “home away from home” with the hope that this will allow them to have a more relaxing and comfortable holiday. Combined with a cuisine that has been tried and tested for over fifty years, based on fresh local produce and local seafood we do our utmost to ensure that every palate is catered for. This is our goal and we work twoards it with both love an dedication.
